Worth the Michelin recommendation! 😍 Curry rice was great (from their portion, to taste and spiciness) so it’s definitely a yes for me and most definitely for Kyoto-goers out here. I got to say they even made the effort to take their service to the next level by incorporating english menu and making sure their guests feel at home 🥰

What a place ! The food was amazing, gotta love the spices . Super cozy venue The staff is super friendly ! Loved the vibes and the music , super chill and fun Definitely recommend it I order the regular portion which is generous and tomato and cucumber and yogurt !

Been here for 6 times! My fav restaurant in Kyoto. If you like something spicy, this is something you must get. They only sell 1 food, chicken curry, with 3 sizes.

We visited this past October and this was our first stop when we had reached Kyoto. We arrived in the evening and were tired and hungry. One of the workers had seen us through the window trying to look for this place and he had immediately welcomed us inside. They sat us at the bar and helped us move our luggage so that it was out of the way. The two gentlemen working were so friendly and very engaging. They had expressed to us their gratitude on how tourists come all over to try their curry. They only serve one dish that comes in small, medium, and large. And you can add cheese to it if you desire. I had ordered the small and my boyfriend had ordered the medium (both with cheese) and we agreed that they were both very generous in sizing. The curry itself was very unique in taste and had a nice spice to it. We loved the food and enjoyed talking with them as well!

The whole establishment can seat around 8 in the back and 4 in the front with the open kitchen. Only one dish is served in 3 sizes. I'd say if you want to get a sufficient experience and want to leave space for other yums then the small is perfect for that. The regular size is appropriate otherwise. Eclectic decor with the menu available on a chalkboard, cash only, and a bell to ring when you're done. The curry is spicy but not too much to handle. It's got depth to its flavor! We bought the curry pack to-go and paid 80Y for the ice bag. Excited to share the flavor with friends when I get back home!

SO TASTY!! They serve one kind of curry and you get to choose the size and if you want it with or without cheese. If you can handle spicy food, it's spicy but not like you'll fall off your chair. :D You get pickles which cut through the spicyness and water. I really recommend it, it's so so good! It's very cozy to sit at the bar and the two guys are really fun to chat with.

DELICIOUS!!!! Staffs are kind and have a professional attitude. Mikima? Curry is a signature menu in this restaurant. I think this could be the one of the spiciest curry in Kyoto, not crazy level but enjoyable spicy for spicy lovers 🥳
